Im thinking of getting one, scrap that im buying 1 today. Hopefully the 60gb version as I want to play my old PS2 games that i havent finished yet (long story) If they are all sold then the 40 will do, dont need a card reader, can the ps3 use USB memory sticks?
How do you get the ps3 online, my modem is USB, will i need to by a new modem?

Watch out, the 40gb version doesn't support PS2 games. (no emulation)

The PS3 can read all USB sticks, harddisks and almost all MP3 players.
For internet connection: You can only connect the PS3 trough normal LAN or WLAN.

Got one with assasins creed, what a cool game. Also came with GRAW2 which i dont like much. My external hard disk doesnt get detected, after reading the user guide i now know why, Mine is formatted in NTFS, PS3 needs FAT32.
Not much going on in the playstation store though, i got a few demos and even a PS1 game (syphon filter 3) loved the 1st two. Probably end up buying the ornge box and hl2dm if it is available i will probably stop using my pc for games altogether.

Create a 2. PSN account with an american adress. You will be able to dowload from the american store, wich has LOTS of stuff. ^^
