Just a heads up guys. If you like strategy games, please don't consider purchasing this yet. While it's a great game, it's probably the most buggy bit of software I've yet to come across.
There was a patch recently that totally messed up the game and it won't even start. The developers initially replied to the forum giving excuses but they have been silent since the last mess of a patch.
Brief summary of problems:
* A VERY bad copy of the game was released on PSN [probably just the EU store]. The devs claim that a leaked copy of the game was accidentally released to Sony to put on the PSN and had known memory leak issues. Frankly I think this excuse is pure horse shit. They are tying to say that Sony's own QA didn't pick this up in testing? Well obviously as it crashes within 15 minutes of playing the game. When I say crashes, it crashes the PS3 and it has to be rebooted.
* They then claim that a Trophey build of the game was accidentally released also [maybe to the US store]. The trophey information isn't on the Sony servers so never syncs properly. Chance of TWO leaked builds getting released?
* Multiplayer games were VERY hard to start as the system is ADAMANT that there are VERY few players online.
There are MANY MANY more issues with this game. The more recent being that a new patch was released either late December or early January. This 1.01 patch totally disables the game, totally. When you try to start the game, you immediately get a message stating that the
Copyright information is invalid. The ONLY way that I can resolve this is to delete the game and download it again, disconnect from the network and play the original buggy build so no online playing [it works sometimes :)]
Anyway, I don't care to rant too much. If you are interested in reading up on it, official forum links below.
I'm tending to push for a refund but I REALLY want to play this game if [or WHEN] it's fixed. I'll give it until the end of February before I go down that route.

*EDIT* Dammit, I've applied to PSN for a refund. Hopefully there won't be too many hoops to jump through.
