Problem connecting to CFT servers

Hey guys,
Looks like my internet connection is back up to speed [see this for reference to what I had to go through to get it sorted, if your interested :)]
Anyway, I loaded up steam this morning, then tried to connect to our normal C$W server. While loading, it got as far as "Sending Client Info" then stopped. It didn't crash as I could cancel and try another server. I then tried about 5 other servers and got the shitty error "Error validating Steam ID" or something.
I don't get this eror on our main server, but I do to all other servers. Haven't tried other server than CTF.
Any ideas or is this just Steam trying to piss me off?

Power outage where the steam servers are, the mainpart of the players can't even log in.
Yesterday it didn't work for me, but today I tryed like 5 times to reconnect to steam and now my steam works

I finally got on and played for an hour. It was great
